Spa Experience

I have always loved indulging in some pampering treats for myself. I was intrigued when I read about a new spa located in Pavillion which offered a unique spa service using small fishes to help rid skin of dead cells by feeding off it. So I guess it's a symbiotic arrangement la.

I got my colleague to join me on this little adventure recently.

We had to wash out feet first before getting into the fish pool ( we don't want the fish floating belly up ya.. defeats the purpose). The water is tepid so it was comfy .. but it was nonetheless intimidating to see the fishes swarm. At this point I was already panicking..

Do these fishes have insatiable appetite? Would they become like gremlins when not fed enough? Do they have razor sharp teeth?? Piranhas? Aarrrgghhh!!

Not to be scared off by a bunch of these tiny suckers, I closed my eyes (okay la, nervous jugak) and just plunged my feet first. I didn't feel like offering more of my leg at this point. Hey, I am paying them to have a meal of me okay?

And they just swarmed! I shooed away the bigger fishes though... hehehe.. It was sooooooooooooo ticklish.. My friend had to force me to keep my feet under water..

Takes a bit of time but once I got used to the sensation.. I plunged in my calves. Well in the end the skin did feel softer (not sure if it's the fish or maybe my feet was in water for an hour) but it was fun for me :-)

I have come across another fish spa in Damansara which I will try out soon enough. Will keep you posted!

Bullet Proof!

Am talking to a friend about topics to write in this blog. While feeling inspired to start writing, I can't put my finger on anything to write about. Blog Block perhaps?

But I remembered a funny situation relayed to me by the love of my life not too long ago..

I had just done my new frameless glasses at that time and my mum (SHE is THE Love of My Life okay?)loved it and wanted a pair done too. So she asked my bro-in law to look around for a good bargain.

I had specifically asked her to get quotes for glasses which are unbreakable or shatterproof for safety. Especially because she was involved in a car accident before and the lens shattered but luckily it missed her eyes.

Anyways, one day while I was having breakfast we had this conversation ;

ME : So what's the story with the specs?

MOM : Oh ya, mama dah suruh Shariman pi tengok kat town. Ada la dia jumpa some good promotions.

Then she stops talking and began giggling

ME : Apa dia ni?

The giggling was becoming worse and I started giggling just by looking at her!

MUM : He told me "Ma, bagus la promotion kat kedai tu, murah frame and lens sekali. Yang bullet proof!". Pastu Mama terkejut la, "Ya Allah, siapa la nak tembak mata Mama ni?!"

At this point we just burst out laughing! Omigosh I still can't tell this story with a straight face.

Am not feeling too great today. Started the morning with a mild gastric attack which was strange because I have been eating well and have also been putting on weight! (TADAAAAAAAAAAA! ) Okay, I know some people out there are shaking their head in disbelief but how else can you explain clothes that fit a little to snuggly nowadays? hehehehhe.... I likeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Note to self : must shop for new outfits!

Now feels like am developing a sore throat and sniffles. Thank God the meeting this evening was postponed. Masalah tu kalau dah bosan and selsema pulak.. I hope it doesn't evolve to become a full blown flu. Last time I had it, I was to do a presentation and audit. Muka sedih and sakit dapat markah kesian kot. Isk... Ada hikmah nya :)

Lapar nye.. Times like this lah yang rindu kat my mum's cooking.. for sure got appetite. But then again nowadays memang ada appetite je.. Like every 4 hours nak makan. Lembab betul la umur dah 30-an baru nak membesar.. hahahahahahha

Am praying hard the weight gain goes to the 'right' areas la!

P.S : Azwan if you are reading this.. Will try one of your recipes soon. Tapi kalau u terasa nak be a good neighbour to masak then hantar to my apartment tu.. memang terbaik!

AFTERMATH

Oh my... Since the general election 2008 results were announced on Saturday, there has been an array of reactions. Generally I could categorize three groups... first would be the ecstatic group, second would be the upset and stunned group and the third would be the i-have-no-idea what to feel because don't really know how it will affect me..

Me? I am upset that some candidates who I feel ( note : this is a personal view ya.. ) should be allowed to carry on their good work did not get re-elected but instead candidates who have no or barely any track record whatsoever have won. Maybe they need change? Giving a chance to a newcomer to prove their capabilities.. Let's hope they have the competence and drive.

True, there should be new blood injected into the system but it feels a little precarious now. There are many people who are anxious and worried what the outcome may be. Could it be in the quest to 'rock the boat' somewhat has gotten a bit out of hand?

Anyways.. the people made their choice. I sincerely hope that somehow all of us can work together towards a better Malaysia. Change is inevitable but let it be a change for the good.

Today..

Ah.. what a day it has been.

Jam packed day with a training session.. errands for the office and sourcing for personal stuff which I figured would help me organize my things better. No luck today though.

Couldn't decide whether to have japanese or western food for dinner.Was visualizing what I could have and by doing so which ever imaginary dinner tempts me most means I should try to make it a reality. Well that went bust too..

Finally got weary little me home and what greeted me was the sight which was a sore to my eyes.. isk. A mini mountain of laundry which DESPERATELY needed to be folded and put away. The stuff which i used for my last vacation pun tak settle lagi.. And i have been putting off sending my winter clothing for dry cleaning for months also. Takde incentive kot.. hehhehe... when i need to use it baru nak get it done. But I managed to bank in the bowls of coins (collected from laundry and everywhere else) which have been accumulating and spilling over (of course with the help of the dynamic duo Kak Yan and Yana who graciously included my request in their banking itinerary). Got a tidy sum :-)

Somehow managed to get it done. The folding part and sorting out at least, so am quite happy. Using the downtime to update the blog, munching and chatting .. Multitasking is definitely a skill to have!

Then i smell RAIN.... I likeeeeeeee......

So am gonna enjoy the rest of the nite snuggled up and dreaming of my next vacation. G'nite...
